A good man sticks to a promise, I guess am not as good of a man then... But, are you good at staying true to yourself? It's not that hard once you understand that you can say what you want to do, and are able to do.

A good time can be any time you decide it to be. A good attempt can also be decided by you if you choose to create and embrace the perfect environment for it to be so; it starts with the mindset.

Don't think just about internal matters; external matters are also important, you do not only rely on thought and idea. But you cannot also fully depend on things that are outside of your being, there is a balance that’s to be reached and strived towards it; as it may bring you complete solvance and peace of all sorts.

Course changing is necessary if you don't know what might happen or if it will successfully take reality. The only problem there is if you stop on your tracks and don't continue, you will simply be a sitting duck, or worse dead.
