Skills that are given long neglect often get unfortunately locked somewhere in your brain if you are lucky enough to not have forgotten them.

By time, by effort, or by technicality it should still amount to something, although they may not be desirable results to some standard. But without any attempt it will not count as anything but an evanescent idea yet to be made a reality.

We will not know the right things every time. Despite that we won't miss the learning that has to be done in order to make the right guess next time.

At all times one shouldn't limit their prowess when it is called for, if you don't exert the best of you when it is needed the most, not only will you lose, but also wear down your skills.
